The Office of Hon. Hubert Ingraham and Guanima Press Ltd Announce Colina Insurance Limited’s Donation of Copies of Hubert A. Ingraham’s Volumes 2 and 3 of I Say What I Mean and I Mean What I Say: Hubert A. Ingraham in His Own Words” to the Ministry of Education & Technical & Vocational Training

“We of the Office of Hon. Hubert Ingraham, along with the publisher Guanima Press Ltd, are delighted that Colina Insurance is donating copies of I Say What I Mean and I Mean What I Say: Hubert A. Ingraham in His Own Words, Volumes 2 and 3, to the Ministry of Education. The company has previously given copies of the works to the New Providence and Grand Bahama Campuses of the University of The Bahamas. This generosity speaks to Colina’s continuing commitment to education and national development. In so doing, they are empowering students with resources that provide valuable insights into the nation’s history and leadership. Ms Butler noted that the gifted volumes are a part of a four-volume series that feature speeches and other communications delivered by Mr Hubert A. Ingraham during his three tenures as Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas. The Ingraham books provide a vital record of the decisions and events that have shaped The Bahamas’ modern trajectory. By making these works available to schools, Colina Insurance underscores their belief in the importance of equipping students with knowledge that fosters civic understanding and national pride, inspiring them to contribute to the country’s continued growth.

“It is a matter of special pride for me and my fellow editor Patricia Glinton-Meicholas that all the volumes of I Mean What I Say and I Say What I Mean What I Say: Hubert Ingraham in His Own Words have been produced by Guanima Press Ltd, a local publisher, which demonstrates the high level of collaboration, professionalism and quality we Bahamians are capable of delivering,” Ms Butler said.

“Our work on the four-volume I Say What I Mean and I Mean What I Say: Hubert A. Ingraham in His Own Words began in 2022 and involved a tremendous amount of work encompassing research, design, layout, advanced technology and an array of minute details. To have been entrusted with a project of this size has been a signal honour for me and a matter of great pride,” said Neko Meicholas, owner of Guanima Press Ltd, which is dedicated to publishing books on the history, heritage, culture and other unique aspects of the archipelagic nation.

“This newest generous donation further highlights the positive impact of collaboration among elements of the private sector and educational institutions.
