DAVIDSON L. HEPBURN OBE :: After completing his early education in The Bahamas, he continued his studies in the United States and later in Spain at the University of Madrid, where he earned a PhD in Comparative  Language and Literature. He also holds a Diploma in International Relations from the Institut des Hautes Etudes, Geneva, Switzerland. He was granted numerous certificates and awards, among which are the Chevalier de la Legion d’Honneur  and the Order of the British Empire (OBE) conferred by the French Government and Queen Elizabeth II, respectively. He served for ten years as the Ambassador of The Bahamas to the United  Nations and two years at UNESCO, where he was elected President of the 35th General Conference. Ambassador Hepburn is married to Ada Thompson, MD.  They have one son and two delightful grandchildren.
